(More customer reviews)This recliner looks nice and is comfortable. (My wife did not want leather.) The wood plugs over the screws on the top of the arms stick up and are not flush with the surrounding wood. The recliner operation is strange. There is a small lever between the seat cushion and the right arm. The instructions say this is a locking lever and should be pulled while pushing back on the seat to raise the leg support. Once the leg support is up the back may be reclined by pushing back on it. The reclined back does not lock and must have pressure on it to stay reclined. If I am sitting fully back on the seat when I recline my weight is enough to keep the back reclined comfortably.
After one week the lever lock stopped working. This actually made the chair easier to operate. The force required to push the seat back and raise the footrest is significant. When pulling the lever I could only push back with my left arm. Now I can push back with both arms. The footrest stays up until pushed down without the lock.
The shipping and packing was good. Plan on 2 people needing ½ hour to unpack the box.
