This chair is extremely comfortable in its fully reclined position. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to get in and out of, especially if you have back problems - which is why I bought the chair. Unlike every other reclining chair out there, this one DOES NOT COME TO A FULL UPRIGHT POSITION. It is always at least slightly reclined. You have to do a backwards straddle (if you can imagine such a thing) to get into it. You have to throw your knees to your chest to recline it. You have to use your elbows to bring it out of its fully reclined position (honestly) and you have to place your hands behind you on the armrests and launch yourself up to get out of it. Part of the problem is that it is very big, and seems to be designed for someone six feet or more tall. It does not come in a smaller version. Comfortable reclining - absolutely. But no chair, especially one that costs as much as this one does, should require acrobatics to get in and out of it. I was unable to return it, and had to take it to the dump.
