(More customer reviews)I wished I had heard about this a long time ago! I have 1 year old twins and this would have been of great use for feeding, naps, etc. Girls love it and fit comfortably in it. Have to watch so they don't flip themselves over the side and get stuck there or wriggle themselves out the top of the strap! But it does call for supervision with use.
Very cute too!

(More customer reviews)I am really pleased with this chair. We looked all over trying to find a glider that also reclined (per my husband's request). This is a very comfortable chair, the back is high enough for my 6'2" husband, and the reclining feature is awesome. I use this chair several times a day while nursing my daughter. We bought a cheap glider when my son was born and it is so uncomfortable to sit in and use, so we decided to get a different one when our daughter was born and I am SO glad we did. I think the price is great for the quality of product that you get. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a glider.

(More customer reviews)We bought this for use in our nursery, with #1 due in June. I did a lot of research, and Baby Bargains (book) identifies Dutailier as the best in the glider business. So when I saw the price drop below $275 for the Sage version, I was fianlly persuaded to buy. We decided to go with a high quality glider (accdg to the reviews, anyway!) b/c we knew we would have it for several years and would get lots of use out of it. This was very easy to assemble. The velcro for the armrests is a bit finicky, but seems to be working Ok so far. The cushions are a velvety material, and the seat is very comfortable, no noise on the glider. The sage color is actually quite bright when you get it, more of a celedon...? Only other glitch is that my husband read that the paint on the chair contains lead, which was a bit surprising (and is why I was hesitent to give this 5 stars) and somewhat concerning. BUT, the chair certainly appears to be high quality, solid wood. I would not put more than ~250 punds in this chair though. So far, so good, after putting it together this weekend. (EASY ASSEMBLY!) I looked everywhere for a glider that was both within my budget and really comfortable. I had fallen in love with another Dutailier model that was almost three times the price and ever since, have been wanting a glider that also reclines. This one fits the bill. It's comfortable, easy to assemble and reclines (and you can glide while reclining - not all models allow for that feature). It's not the most attractive chair, but most of the gliders are relatively ugly (IMO), though it's not the worst looking one I have seen either. You can definitely tell that it is on the low end of Dutailier's line: the cushions and fabric, while comfortable, feel somewhat cheap and get very hot (my back sweats if it's the least bit warm in the house), and the chair rocks more than it glides, which is not true of some of the more expensive models. Nevertheless, if you are not in the market for $1500 glider, this is a good choice.

(More customer reviews)I originally bought a lower end rocker on Amazon for half the price thinking all rockers are the same which I quickly learned is NOT true. I decided with how much time I'd be spending in it rocking my baby it was worth trying a higher end rocker and paying the difference. Definitely glad I made that decision because this rocker is SO comfortable! I ordered the sage green which looks great with the cherry wood--a beautiful rocker. The rocker reclines and locks in position making it easy to fall asleep in. Very sturdy, excellent quality, and well made (especially compared to the lower end model we put together). Putting this rocker together was a breeze. I also have the matching ottoman which glides just as nicely as this one. I definitely recommend this rocker to anyone looking for a long lasting, comfortable, beautiful chair.

Dutailier Ultramotion Bow Back Glider Rocker and Ottoman Combo, Light Beige Review

(More customer reviews)For my expectant wife, we purchased the Dutailier Ultramotion Harvest Sleigh Multiposition and Recliner and a matching ottoman about a month ago for a total cost of over $650. It is a great chair and made in Canada with thick cushions, adjustable reclining back, glide lock, and smooth gliding action, and my wife loved it. But it's not exactly cheap.
Since we are expecting twins, another chair for me seemed like a prudent idea, but I wasn't anxious to spend that amount again, so I ordered this cheaper model for myself (call me the Mama Bear for the purposes of this comparison). It was on sale for about a third of the price we had paid for my wife's chair. It is also a solid chair, but made in Viet Nam with thinner cushions and no back adjustment or glide lock, but with the same smooth gliding action, and I love it.
So what is the trade-off for the bargain price? A bit more work for assembly, mostly for attaching the arms. Thinner cushions. Made in southeast Asia instead of North America.
As for the size, my wife's chair is a generous 19" wide between the arms, but mine is only 16" wide. The seats in both chairs are an ample 20" deep. I'm 205# with a 41" waist and my chair fits me okay and it mostly fits my wife okay as well. On the other hand, Mama-in-law bear is a bit more generously cut than we are and can only get into my wife's larger chair.
I really enjoy the gliding action of these chairs with the synchronized gliding ottomans vs a standard rocking chair. And, I really enjoy the $400 still in my pocket that I didn't have to spend for the second chair.

It is stuffed with a type of foam that leaves a dent for a while after you sit or put your feet on the stool. It does rock and swivel smooth enough, but the recline could be easier. Fairly easy to put together.
Edit!!!! I have had the chair for less than a year, and now the chair is BROKEN! I called ATHOMEMART to get a replacement and he said "I chose to do nothing". At Home Mart will NOT stand behind their products! DO NOT BUY FROM At Home Mart!!!!!!!

(More customer reviews)Although this product was relatively easy to assemble, and the overall design is aesthetically pleasing and was received in good condition and rapid fashion; there remains the invariable fact that the design of this chair is flawed beyond repair.
Within 2 days of using the the chair it developed a rather noisy squeak. It is to be expected that a wood product will give off some noise due to variances in temperature and humidity etc, however on the third day, the arms separated from the back with a loud crack.
The arms are joined to the back via two dowel rods and glue. The one point in the design where all the downward and backward stresses of the sitter/rocker are focused, is held together by wood and glue... throughout the rest of the chair a series of brass alloy screws and lock nuts are used which is fine if not overkill. The one point where screws and lock-nuts would do the most good, they are lacking.
As there are two dowel rods which support the focal point of stress on such a small supporting beam, it is impossible to replace the dowels with screws as the pre-drilled holes have already compromised the integrity of the beam.
Nice looking? yes. Quality? no. Firewood? not unless you like clouds of toxic fumes from the lacquer.
