(More customer reviews)This chair is not a good purchase. It was delivered by FedEx in a cardboard cartoon that was all wet and held together by tape. I spent all morning trying to figure out the directions that were obviously printed in a Chinese factory. Many of the parts look alike, so you have to guess what goes where. Then, after the chair was assembled, I sat in it and the back gave way. There was not enough glue on the dowels that held the back to the seat. There seems to be no way to fix that fault. I went to the hardware store for some "L" braces but those did not work, either. It sits in my bedroom taking up space. I wish I could get my $200 back, but I have no way of returning the chair. The box it came in is mush. Stay away from this one.

(More customer reviews)We bought this chair in October as a gift for our expectant daughter. It seemed very solid and sturdy at first. The baby arrived in January, and after just a few uses, the chair legs began to wobble. We've not been able to tighten them at all, and the chair has become an accident waiting to happen. We've contacted AtHomeMart via e-mail three times. It's been three weeks, and we're still waiting for a response. The chair has now been reduced in price. Wonder why.

(More customer reviews)Although this product was relatively easy to assemble, and the overall design is aesthetically pleasing and was received in good condition and rapid fashion; there remains the invariable fact that the design of this chair is flawed beyond repair.
Within 2 days of using the the chair it developed a rather noisy squeak. It is to be expected that a wood product will give off some noise due to variances in temperature and humidity etc, however on the third day, the arms separated from the back with a loud crack.
The arms are joined to the back via two dowel rods and glue. The one point in the design where all the downward and backward stresses of the sitter/rocker are focused, is held together by wood and glue... throughout the rest of the chair a series of brass alloy screws and lock nuts are used which is fine if not overkill. The one point where screws and lock-nuts would do the most good, they are lacking.
As there are two dowel rods which support the focal point of stress on such a small supporting beam, it is impossible to replace the dowels with screws as the pre-drilled holes have already compromised the integrity of the beam.
Nice looking? yes. Quality? no. Firewood? not unless you like clouds of toxic fumes from the lacquer.
