The chair is firm, yet plush. It's fairly large, 42"x42"x43". It sits fairly high and seems to be geared towards a larger person. The frame is made of metal, and according to the salesman at ashleys furniture told me the upholstery is a mix of microfiber and leather. It's supposedly easy to clean and fluids don't easily soak in. Haven't tried this out yet but seems like it would be water resistant. It's about 90lbs, feels light yet sturdy. It also reclines back far enough that you can almost lay completely flat and is very comfy reclined. Got it for my wife for mothers day and she loved it. It is manufactured by ashleys furniture. I bought mine at Fred Meyer and got a floor model for 380 dollars. It's a great recliner at a great price. I'll keep you updated if anything pops up.
