It stretches just fine to fit my sofa and looks very nice compared to the former cover that I had. There is one piece that the seat cushions slide into, and despite my weariness of how this would work, it looks good. You may need to adjust every now and then, but all in all, it works. The slip cover also has ridges which adds to the look and feel of it, it's not just a smooth fabric which I think can look cheap, but this doesn't. The only thing that I have noticed is that it collects every piece of lint in the house to it; a minor thing in my eyes. I normally go over it with a lint brush to keep it free of debris; excellent slip cover otherwise. There is one other thing, when sitting on the sofa, the back seems to slip up just a bit and is noticeable if you can see the back side of the sofa. I attribute this how much slack I leave when tucking the cover in to make it smooth, other than that I am happy with the purchase.
