(More customer reviews)I've had my RX La Fuma chairs for about 10 years and I love them so when the laces finally start to give out I checked on Amazon for some replacements.
I ordered the laces that said they were for the RSX and the RSX XL, but when I started to replace the laces I found they were too short.
My wife and I decided to do a chair each at the same time. I took each lace off and replaced it so that I could use the others for reference to make sure I was doing it right. It's actually quite simple once you get started but on the first one I could see I was going to run out of lace. So instead of double stringing in the critical areas like the middle and bottom of the seat I just had to single string it almost all of the way.
Even single stringing it was very difficult it was so short, I had to pull very hard to get enough lace to get to the end of the run so now I have a chair that is so tight it is like sitting on a board and has caused the folding action of the chair to be stiff. I had to stretch all of the elasticity out of the laces to make them fit so I don't think that these laces will last a tenth of the time that the original laces did.
My wife could not pull hard enough of the laces on the chair she was working on to get them to fit so I had to do both chairs.
