(More customer reviews)I just got mine and it works good for just $20. Not sure anything would work well on a recliner arm, but I use mine on the couch. Would not recommend for narrow arms (I have a wider armed couch like in the picture). The light is ok. Not super bright, but functional. I am able to read ok.
I bought this mostly for the table function.
I would normally give this 3- 4 stars because I wish the spring hinges that hold the table clips in place were a little stronger, but they are strong enough to keep the table secure on a wider armed couch, like mine. My couch arm is padded and about 8" wide.
I also wish the light was a little better quality. I have a good quality light that clips on books, (Ritelite LPL792XLB 5-LED Computer and Book Light, Metal), that I got here on Amazon. I figure I can clip it to the side of the table if need be.
I also gave 5 stars to offset the 1 star rating that I feel is misleading.
I do alot of handy work in my business and could make a better one , except I am always up to my eyeballs in work, even during recessions. This will do nicely and save me the time building one. Plus its around $20 including shipping. I've checked other websites and have not found anything similar, nor have I found this item for less when including shipping.
Last but not least, the table is well made and looks nice.
